We couldn't  do it without you.  Thank you to our community grassroots fundraisers.
CANCERVIVE

Inspired by Calgary cancer survivor, Brian McGregor, Cancervive raises awareness and support for those living through and beyond, cancer. Its flagship fundraising event is a yearly cross-continent peloton cycling expedition of 30 riders whose destination is a Lance Armstrong LiveStrong Challenge event. During the week-end, riders are joined by warriors - cancer patients who are given a few days filled with hope and inspiration as participants in the Challenge week-end. Wellspring Calgary is a $1MM benefactor of Cancervive's fundraising efforts.
We are forever grateful to you Cancervive.

TRICOPS It takes strength, determination and commitment to complete a triathlon and much more to tackle an Ironman. These are the qualities that define Tricops - a group of Calgary Police Officers and civilians who apply the same fortitude required of their sport to making a difference in the world. Through the Calgary Hitmen Headshave, the Calgary Police Half Marathon, and various triathlons - including Ironman Canada, Tricops has provided a gift of over $75,000 to Wellspring Calgary to date.
We salute you Tricops!
SSS CHICKS For ladies only, it's an annual Pub Crawl organized by Wellspring volunteer Cory Reiser.  This year's event took place at the Hose and Hound. With a small Silent Auction and sale of t-shirts to anyone who would buy one, the goyles raised $2,000 and supported Wellspring with the purchase of a kitchen pub table. We're grateful to have a place to sit in the central meeting spot of our home Cory.  Ahhhh comfort, you've made it happen!!
CARSON'S BIKE RIDE Imagine giving up your 8th and 9th birthday gifts so that you could support people like your Dad who had riden for Cancervive in support of others living with cancer. Decked in helmets, flags and unconditional resolve, 9 year-old Carson Reiser has lead a pack of friends, neighbours and community members through the Bow River bike trails for two years now. The result: $18,000 for Wellspring and the admiration of his peers.
Like father, like son.
THRILL THE WORLD

So you like to dance? Just like the 98 Zombies who converged as one group to perform Michael Jackson's "Thriller" in the parking lot of Canadan Olympic Park on Saturday, October 24, 2009 in the snow and cold! While the intent of Cheryl Gould, a Wellspring member, was to help to add numbers beyond the 2008 World Record of 4179 simultaneous dancers..this year, Cheryl added a fundraising component to the event. The group raised $2446 for Wellspring! View video>>
Thankyou Cheryl for Thrillling our world.

 WEBBER HEAD SHAVE

Recognizing that cancer was sure to affect all of us at one point or another, Grade 11 student Taylor Brown gathered twelve guys, one gal and successfully convinced nine teachers at the Webber Academy to shave their heads in support of Wellspring Calgary.
When all the locks had hit the floor, more than $25,000 was counted and delivered to Wellspring - and all of this was done just because they knew the centre was a first of its kind in the West and provided a very needed service here in Calgary.
Thankyou for thinking it was just the right thing to do.
